Why Recycle

Why Recycle

Each year in excess of 400 million tonnes of waste is produced in the UK alone and to date our national recycling figures fall short of our European neighbours. The recycling of our paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals is currently estimated to save over 18 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas emissions (WRAP). But we can do so much more and at Aldermaston Recycling, we are committed to reducing the impact of waste to landfill. We are aiming for ZERO waste to landfill, with current figures showing that we recover over 90% of our waste stream for reuse or recycling.

Creating a sustainable future at Aldermaston Recycling.

We all want to play our part in helping the environment but aren’t always sure what can be recycled and more importantly by whom! Aldermaston can help you be greener by sorting your rubbish for you. Simply dispose of your mixed waste stream in one of range of skips and leave the rest to us. Rest assured we will separate reusable/recyclable materials, therefore helping you save time and more importantly our environment..

Quality is priority:

“It is unwise to pay too much, but it is unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money and that is all, but when you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing that you’ve bought isn’t capable of doing the thing it was bought to do.

The common law of business prohibits you from paying a little and receiving a lot – it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder it would be as well to add something for the risk you run, and if you can do that you can afford to buy something better”.

“There is hardly anything in the world today that some man cannot make just a little worse and sell just a little cheaper, and the people who buy on price alone are this man’s lawful prey”.

John Ruskin, 1819 – 1900
